Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Michael Frey this summer with reports suggesting that the Swiss striker wants a move to England – which has prompted Fener fans to urge him to stay.
Frey, 24, has been linked with Leeds for much of the summer. Back in June, Belgian outlet DH claimed Leeds were rivalling Vincent Kompany’s Anderlecht and Belgian champions Genk for Frey – at a fee of £3.6million.
Now, Turkish newspaper Fotomac have claimed that Frey remains on Leeds’ shortlist, and that the player is keen on a move to England. However, it is also said that Turkish side Caykur Rizespor also want to sign Frey.

Frey struggled after joining Fener under Phillip Cocu last summer, managing just five goals in 22 outings for the Turkish side. Fener did struggle during 2018-19, flirting with relegation before finishing in sixth.
Leeds could be after a striker as doubts remain over Kemar Roofe’s future, who is being linked with a move to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers. Top scorer last term with 15 goals, Roofe has entered the last 12 months of his contract.
Frey could be brought in as Roofe’s replacement but Fenerbahce fans reacted to the news by urging both their club and the Swiss ace to stay, rather than switching clubs and putting pen to paper at Leeds.
