Turkish outlet Fotomac have claimed that Leeds United remain interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Michael Frey, and that the Swiss striker is keen on a move to England this summer.
The 24-year-old managed just 22 appearances for Fener last season, finding the back of the net five times. Struggling to impress, he is now expected to leave the SuperLig giants this summer.
Belgian outlet DH have claimed last month that interested parties can sign Frey for £3.6million, with Anderlecht and Genk also interested. But the report also claimed that Frey was unconvinced over a move to Leeds.
Now, the latest report from Fotomac claims that Leeds are rivalling Turkish side Caykur Rizespor. However, contrary to prior articles, it is claimed that Frey now wants to move to England and that could give Leeds the upper hand.

TBR’s view – Frey could be Leeds’ replacement for Roofe
Kemar Roofe has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Leeds, and he is now reportedly interesting Steven Gerrard’s Rangers. Finishing at the top of the goalscoring charts last term, Roofe could now leave.
If the former West Bromwich Albion attacker does leave Leeds this summer – for a fee believed to be in the region of £5million – Frey could be targeted by the Whites as his replacement.
Is he good enough? Has he shown the form required to fire Leeds towards the Premier League? On last season’s showing, no. But he certainly boasts plenty of talent and at £3.6million he could be a bargain.
