Radu Dragusin looks set to join Tottenham.
The Romanian defender has reportedly chosen to join Spurs over Bayern Munich after the German giants made an eleventh hour bid to sign the player on Tuesday evening.
Dragusin’s arrival at Tottenham will certainly be welcomed after a recent injury crisis at centre-back, and there could well be another knock-on effect at Spurs to consider now.
Indeed, the fact that Tottenham have beaten Bayern Munich of all teams to the signing of Dragusin could be significant.
Before all of this Dragusin drama kicked off, Bayern were in for Spurs’ Eric Dier, and while that trail has gone cold over the past 48 hours or so, it would now make sense if Bayern were to again look at the England international.

It’s clear that Thomas Tuchel’s side want a new defender through the door, and now that Dragusin is seemingly off the table, they may have to go back for Dier.
The ‘fantastic’ defender needs a move away from Spurs this month after struggling for minutes, and we can’t help but think that this move suits him to a tee.
Not only will he be joining one of Europe’s elite, he will also be reuniting with Harry Kane, one of his very best friends in world football.
There aren’t many bigger stages in Europe than Bayern Munich, and who knows? Perhaps with a run in the team and a bit of form behind him, Dier could actually wrestle back that Euro 2024 place with England if this move does indeed go ahead.
Of course, this is far from a done deal, but now that Dragusin has seemingly given the Tottenham move the greenlight, it would make the world of sense if Bayern were to, once again, accelerate their talks for Dier and get this deal done.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming days of the transfer window.
