Liverpool have brought Fabio Carvalho back from his loan spell with RB Leipzig as they look to find a new club for him in January.

Carvalho moved to the German side with high hopes but failed to have an impact for the Bundesliga club.

Now back at Anfield, Liverpool will need to work out what they want to do with the former Fulham man.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, the plan right now is to use Carvalho as a big player in their future.

Liverpool plan on using Fabio Carvalho next season

Taking to his social media account over on X, Romano has said that Carvalho is classed as not for sale from the Liverpool side of things.

And in looking at the long-term plan, Romano has said that Carvalho is being lined up to play a big role for the Reds next season.

Carvalho, still just 21, has plenty of time on his hands to make an impact as a Liverpool player.

He was signed from Fulham due to his impact in getting the Cottagers back into the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of Carvalho and if he can perform at the right club on loan, then he might well get his big chance next season.

Carvalho chance is coming at Liverpool

While it’s not gone well yet for Carvalho, he must surely be looking to the future and thinking his chance will come.

Mo Salah continues to have an uncertain future at the club and if Salah was to leave, then there’s suddenly a huge opening in this Liverpool team.

For Carvalho, that might well be his chance to stake a claim and show he can do the business.

Of course, he isn’t going to replace Salah and immediately be the main man. But he could well get minutes if that situation unfolds and from there, he’ll have the chance to impress.

His career at Liverpool is far from over and 2024 could be a huge year for him.
