Chelsea have been interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United for a while now.
The Argentina international has fallen out with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, and all signs point towards a separation this summer.
TBR Football revealed in January that Chelsea were considering a late move to sign Garnacho, who was valued at £70 million by Manchester United at the time.
The Blues’ interest has not gone away.
Fabrizio Romano rates Chelsea’s chances of signing Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho
Alejandro Garnacho was viewed by many as the next big thing at Manchester United.
The Argentine is clearly a talented player, and he has shown his quality on multiple occasions at Old Trafford, especially when Erik ten Hag was at the helm.
However, Amorim’s system doesn’t really need a player like Garnacho, and issues between the pair have caused a further divide behind the scenes.
Garnacho is set to leave Manchester United as a result, and Fabrizio Romano has had his say on Chelsea’s chances of signing him.
He told DAZN: “Alejandro Garnacho will leave Manchester United, as previously reported. He could stay in England, though, as Chelsea are interested in signing the Argentine.
“There’s a 35% chance this will happen.”
Garnacho’s current contract at Manchester United does not expire until the summer of 2028.

Alejandro Garnacho or Jamie Bynoe-Gittens – who should Chelsea sign?
Chelsea are almost certain to strengthen out wide this summer.
Enzo Maresca’s side need a new winger to replace Mykhaylo Mudryk and Jadon Sancho, and several names have been linked.
Chelsea pushed to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens before Tuesday’s deadline, but a deal was not possible. The Blues are expected to keep trying, but should they consider Garnacho instead?
| Games | Goals | Assists | Minutes per goal or assist | |
| Alejandro Garnacho in the last two seasons | 108 | 21 | 17 | 187.94 |
| Jamie Gittens in the last two seasons | 82 | 14 | 13 | 154.37 |
If you go by their output over the last two seasons, Gittens averages a goal or assist more often than Garnacho, but the Borussia Dortmund star has played fewer games.
The Manchester United man plays in a tougher league and is arguably a part of a weaker team, in which his manager doesn’t even rate him.
Gittens, who will be cheaper, should remain the priority for Chelsea, but Garnacho would not be a bad option at all if they can’t land the Englishman.
