Liverpool have got their 2024/25 campaign off to the perfect start with a solid victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Arne Slot will have been delighted with what he saw from his side following some tweaks at half time to change the game completely.
However, there is still work to be done in the transfer market for Liverpool who are still yet to bring in any new players this summer.
Saturday’s win showed the Reds may be able to get through the opening stages of the campaign as they are but it’s a long, old season with Champions League and domestic cup competitions.
Liverpool are looking at to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili before the deadline at the end of the month.
But Fabrizio Romano has now provided his insight from behind the scenes at Anfield as Liverpool look to end the window in style.

Liverpool exploring further signings as well as Giorgi Mamardashvili
it has been a strange summer for the Reds with Liverpool having seen Martin Zubimendi sensationally rejecting a move to Anfield.
By no means has Slot needed a big summer with a load of new signings, but there are certainly areas of the squad which could have done with bolstering.
But there are still around two weeks for Richard Hughes to work his magic in the market with Romano saying the Reds are looking at what they can do.

According to Romano, Liverpool are still exploring options in the market as well as the potential signing of the Georgian goalkeeper.
“There’s the Giorgi Mamardashvili story still on for the future, for 2025; then for sure we could see some movement for the final two weeks this summer,” Romano said in his Daily Briefing.
“Liverpool are exploring options, it could be on different positions, so there’s movement and there could be things to happen these two weeks.
“There are no concrete names to mention yet, so Liverpool fans will have to be patient, but they’re exploring possibilities and I will update you as soon as I can.”
What Arne Slot said about transfers after Liverpool victory
Slot will undoubtedly be wanting to see some new faces come through the doors on Merseyside over the next two weeks.
That can be seen through Liverpool’s unsuccessful pursuit of Zubimendi earlier this month.
However, the Reds could end their summer on a positive note with the Liverpool boss admitting, from Portman Road, that the club are looking at their options in the market.
“A lot has been said of our [lack of] signings. We have many good players. If we can find another one, we don’t hesitate to do so. But we have many already,” Slot told TNT Sports after the win on Saturday.
