‘Arsenal have not…’: Fabrizio Romano offers disappointing Sunday update for Gunners fans

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter today to give an interesting – if not disappointing – transfer update for Arsenal fans.

The Gunners are looking to sign even more new faces this summer after already being active and landing top targets such as Gabriel Jesus. The likes of Fabio Vieira have also arrived, and Mikel Arteta can be pleased with the work Edu has produced so far.

However, two more names have cropped up recently. The name of Edon Zhegrova has been mentioned since April, while a suprise report today claimed the Gunners were also keen on signing N’golo Kante from Chelsea.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, both those players are not on Arsenal’s list at this moment in time.

Of course, in a rapidly moving transfer market, those positions could change. Players like Kante and Zhegrova are bound to be of interest for Arsenal, especially so with the Chelsea midfielder.

However, if Romano is saying there is nothing in it as things stand, then you’d have to say that’s a pretty safe bet to go with right now.

TBR’s View: Arsenal Keeping Active Despite Romano’s Update

Fabrizio Romano is the man for all things transfer related so unfortunately for Arsenal fans, this is a bit of disappointing news on a Sunday evening.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean things are completely done and dusted. Both Kante and Zhegrova have been mentioned for a reason and there is every chance the Gunners do launch moves for the pair.

Kane is a particularly interesting one for Arsenal fans to digest. He is world class and would be a head-turning signing should the Gunners pull it off.
