Fabrizio Romano has shared some exciting transfer news for Tottenham fans
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed personal terms with Destiny Udogie, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs have been pursuing the talented Udinese full-back and they’ve now reached a breakthrough with him.
Romano, taking to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, said Udogie had agreed a five-year contract at Tottenham.
Spurs still need to strike a deal with Udinese, but the transfer insider expects this to be done next week.
Romano has previously mentioned that the Zebrette want Udogie back on loan for the 2022-23 season.
And in his latest tweet, he suggested that Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte could be open to this.
He is part of the “future project” at N17, added Romano.
Spurs have enjoyed a fruitful transfer window so far this summer, signing six players.
Now, Tottenham could be signing a player Romano has deemed the “future of the Italian national team”.
The 19-year-old joined Udinese last summer, arriving on a loan deal from boyhood club Hellas Verona.
Udogie enjoyed a solid breakthrough campaign with Le Zebrette.
He registered seven goals and five assists from 37 matches.
The Italy Under-21 international joined Udinese permanently this summer as part of an obligation to buy.
However, the Zebrette seem ready to cash in on him immediately.
Gabriele Cioffi has described Udogie as ‘extraordinary‘ and he looks to have a big future in the game.
