Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have made a decision on Djed Spence following his return from Daniel Farke’s Leeds United.

That is according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has reported Tottenham’s plan regarding Spence in the January transfer window.

So, what has been reported about Tottenham Hotspur and Djed Spence? Let’s take a look.

Djed Spence to leave Tottenham Hotspur on loan

Well, Djed Spence is back at Tottenham Hotspur from his loan spell at Leeds United in the Championship.

Spence joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2023. However, the West Yorkshire club decided to exercise the break clause and sent the defender back to Tottenham.

As you can, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Tottenham do not have any plans to keep him in Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad for the second half of the season.

Romano has claimed that Tottenham are planning to send the 23-year-old former Nottingham Forest loanee back on loan in the January transfer window.

My View: No future at Tottenham Hotspur for Djed Spence

In my opinion, there is no future at Tottenham Hotspur for Djed Spence. I  do not think that there is any point in the right-back staying at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a long-term contract.

Spence is 23 now. He is at the age where he should be starting to play regularly. He is nowhere close to doing that at Spurs.

The right-back, who cost Spurs £20 million (The Daily Mail) was on loan at Rennes for the second half of last season and was sent out on loan again in the summer of 2023. And Spurs, who have been linked with striker Serhou Guirassy, plan to offload him again in January on a temporary deal.

I think that Spence needs to consider his long-term future. He has made four appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
