Report: Everton have now decided which of their star forwards will be sold this summer after sealing survival

Everton might have rescued their Premier League status with a late comeback win over Crystal Palace in the week but they have big problems when it comes to balancing the books.

The Toffees are under the microscope for some huge spending in recent seasons. Indeed, both Leeds and Burnley are set to ask the FA and Premier League to look into Everton’s finances in more detail.

Of course, all this means there is pressure on the Toffees to make some sales this summer. And according to 90Min, Everton have already decided which one out of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin they’d prefer to cash in on this summer.

Your Club's SURPRISE Star This Season

90Min claims that there is an acceptance at the club that one of the forwards needs to be sold. And it’s claimed that the Toffees are more open to selling Calvert-Lewin, with the hope of keeping and building the team around Richarlison.

Of course, there will be no shortage of suitors for Calvert-Lewin. Reports have suggested that Tottenham are watching on with interest. Newcastle United are also keen, while Arsenal are long-term admirers of the England man.

Everton are expected to demand around £60m for Calvert-Lewin if they do sell. The Toffees will also have to pay a fee to Sheffield United, who are believed to have inserted a sell-on clause.

TBR’s View: Everton Need Richarlison More Than Calvert-Lewin

The fact Everton have two strikers of his calibre and have had such a miserable season is a bit of a mystery. Of course, DCL has had his injuries, so that’s played a huge role in things.

However, on the face of it, you’d have to say Richarlison is the more vital of the two players to the Toffees. He’s shown this season how good he is, and when it’s mattered, he’s stepped up to the plate.
