Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made his Everton debut in what was a tough evening for David Moyes’ side at Elland Road.
Everton were beaten 1-0 in West Yorkshire, with Lukas Nmecha’s spot kick proving the difference between the two teams.
The result and performance from David Moyes’ team highlighted the need for further reinforcements in the final two weeks of the transfer window.
So far, the Toffees have signed Thierno Barry, Carlos Alcarez, Adam Aznou, Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall.
During the clash at Elland Road on the opening game of their Premier League season, Everton’s supporters had a clear message about their new midfielder.

Everton fans slam Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall playing in number ten role vs Leeds
Everton fans were not happy with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s performance playing in the number ten role against Leeds United.
The former Chelsea star struggled to make his mark on the match at Elland Road, with Everton having a tough evening in West Yorkshire.
The midfielder didn’t see a great deal of the ball against the Premier League’s new boys, managing 45 touches playing in the advanced midfield role.
Dewsbury-Hall, who Chelsea fans appreciated, proved that he is not best suited to playing in an attacking role, and Moyes eventually realised this after 71 minutes.
During the game, Everton fans make their feelings very clear about their new summer arrival, featuring in the number ten role.
One fan said: “Pull Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall down into midfield, invisible as a 10 all half.”
“KDH isn’t a number 10. He needs to get on the ball like you said. If we don’t sign players with pace out wide, then we never learn,” claimed another.
There were further calls for Dewsbury-Hall not to be used in the number ten role: “Only just found out Dewsbury-Hall is supposed to be a creative midfielder tonight.”
Finally, another fan claimed: “Dewsbury-Hall isn’t a 10, looks like he looks too lightweight to play there.”
Grealish could be the player to get the nod from now on in the more advanced midfield role, with the former Chelsea player dropping into a double pivot.

Dewsbury-Hall lost possession on nine occasions against Leeds and completed 79 percent of his passes against Daniel Farke’s side.
The 26-year-old covered a fair amount of ground, but in terms of creating opportunities, they were few and far between against the Whites.

Moyes will be concerned by his team’s lack of threat going forward and will need to assess his attacking selections for the next game against Brighton next weekend.
The Scottish coach will be hoping by then that the club have managed to deliver a few new additions for his squad before the opening Premier League fixture at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
