Everton have reportedly joined Aston Villa and two other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey. Villa are said to have an offer on the table for the Jamaica international. Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Bailey is a target.

Bailey, 23, has enjoyed a brilliant 2020-21 campaign. Scoring 15 goals, the Bayer Leverkusen no.9 also laid on 11 assists despite playing up front, out wide or even as a second striker. His form has been stunning for Leverkusen. Little surprise, then that Premier League clubs are calling.

What are Everton fans saying about Bailey?

Football website 90Min say Everton, Wolves and Southampton have all joined the race to sign Bailey this summer. Sky Germany report that Villa have an offer on the table for Bailey – but that interested parties will need to pay north of £25million. It remains to be seen if any will do that.

Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Bailey is a target for the Toffees and Rafa Benitez. That is, despite already signing his Leverkusen teammate in Demarai Gray, and securing a deal for Andros Townsend. Many Everton supporters are desperate to see Bailey signed this summer.
