Football website 90Min claim that Aston Villa have been joined by three other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Leon Bailey. Everton, Wolves and Southampton are also considering a move for the Jamaica international. The player feels the time is right to leave Leverkusen, now.
Bailey, 23, has just enjoyed a sensational 2020-21 form. Clocking up 40 appearances in all competitions for Leverkusen, he scored 15 goals and created 11 more. The attacker managed the 26 goal involvements despite playing on both flanks, as a 10 and even up front on occasion.
That versatility has caught the attention of four Premier League clubs. Sky Germany say Villa have an offer on the table for Bailey – but 90Min say Everton, Southampton and Wolves are also keen. It is believed that Villa want more than £25million for Bailey this summer.

Which club suits Bailey the most – Everton, Villa, Southampton or Wolves?
Everton have just signed Bailey’s teammate Demarai Gray from Leverkusen, as well as Andros Townsend on a free transfer. Do they need another winger? Maybe, but they are certainly no longer in desperate need of Bailey. Villa should only go for him if Jack Grealish departs.
Southampton need players pretty much all over the park, while Wolves could finally end up replacing the loss of Diogo Jota. Since he departed for Liverpool, Wolves have struggled without his runs and goal threat. Bringing in Bailey at Molineux would be a move that suits all parties.
