Everton and West Ham will miss out on £20m star, he's about to join another club
The Daily Mail reports that FC Lorient star Dango Ouattara is about to join Bournemouth, with Everton and West Ham United set to miss out on the winger.
Both David Moyes and Frank Lampard will be desperate to bring in some fresh faces this month as their sides are struggling at the bottom end of the table.
West Ham and Everton have both encountered similar problems this season, with neither side being able to find the back of the net frequently enough.
The Toffees have managed just 15 goals in 19 Premier League matches, which is identical to the Hammers’ record. And it seems that the two clubs were both interested in signing Ouattara this month in an attempt to address their issues in the final third.
Everton and West Ham will miss out on Outtara
Ouattara is set to undergo his medical at Bournemouth today ahead of a £20 million switch from Lorient, according to The Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal as the Cherries look will fend-off interest from other Premier League clubs.
West Ham, Everton and Southampton had all been interested off the back of his impressive form in Ligue 1 this season.
Ouattara is enjoying a real breakthrough season in France and has managed six goals while providing the same number of assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances.
The youngster can operate off either wing and has scored against the likes of Monaco and Lyon this season.
While the Burkina Faso forward clearly has a bright future ahead of him, West Ham and Everton need reinforcements that can make an impact right away.
That’s not to say that Ouattara can’t make a big impact on the south coast, but Moyes and Lampard will be eager to bring in players who have already proven they can perform in the Premier League.
Both sides have been linked with a move for Danny Ings over the past few days, with The Daily Mail reporting that the Hammers have already offered Aston Villa £12 million for the striker. Everton have shown an interest in bringing Ings to Goodison Park on loan.
