Liverpool are yet to make a signing this summer but with the new Premier League season fast approaching, business is expected to ramp up now.
Arne Slot is thought to be in the market for a defensive midfielder, which has been an area that’s needed addressing since Fabinho’s departure last summer.
The Dutchman also needs to replace Joel Matip who left earlier this summer upon the expiry of his contract.
That said, The Reds are now being linked with a teenage defender.

Besiktas want Liverpool target Yasin Ozcan
TBR ran a report earlier this summer about Liverpool’s interest in Kasimpasa centre-back Yasin Ozcan.
Now, their interest in Ozcan has resurfaced with Turkish outlet Ajanspor reporting about Besiktas’ bid for the youngster.
It’s thought the Super Lig giants have offered players as part of the deal, though, it remains to be seen if Kasimpasa will accept.
Liverpool are yet to make an official approach but Besiktas’ move could nudge them to react.
Yasin Ozcan profile
Ozan, who only turned 18 in April, is considered a ‘rising star’ in Turkey and that was amplified when he was shortlisted for the Golden Boy award this year.
He’s a natural left-footer, so if Liverpool do land his signature, he’d bring a completely new profile to the back line.
Indeed, with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahim Konate as the two starting centre-backs, it’s unlikely Ozcan will join to start, however, the former is ageing so there’s certainly scope to become his successor.
In other news, Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s heard from Liverpool following talk of a mystery number six.
