It’s Liverpool vs Manchester City on Sunday, and Erling Haaland has revealed on Instagram that he’s ‘back to training’ amid concerns about his fitness.

The Norwegian has been unstoppable this season. He has scored 20 goals and provided three assists in just 13 appearances in all competitions, and he’s set to break all sorts of records if he continues at this rate.

Haaland hasn’t really been injured, but Pep Guardiola did not bring him on against Copenhagen midweek because the striker was ‘so tired’.

When asked if the 22-year-old will be available for the game against Liverpool on Sunday, the Manchester City boss said: “He has some muscle disorders and we didn’t want to take any chances (against Copenhagen).

“We have to see tomorrow, I hope he will be ready (to play against Liverpool).”

Manchester City fans have been worried about their star striker’s fitness since, but Haaland has put all those concerns to bed.

He took to Instagram yesterday to reveal that he’s ‘back to training’ and is fully focused on the game at Anfield this weekend.

“Back to training, complete focus on the Premier League now,” he wrote in his post.

Haaland’s first game for Manchester City was against Liverpool in the Community Shield before the start of this season.

He really struggled in that fixture and that gave rise to a number of questions from some fans, pundits and the media on whether he could cope with the intensity of the English game.

The Norwegian has shut those doubts down in style. He has been unbelievable this season, and we just can’t see how anybody can stop him or Manchester City this term.

If Haaland’s Instagram post is anything to go by, he should be fit and ready for the game against Liverpool on Sunday.
