Tottenham full-back, Emerson Royal, is going all out to impress Antonio Conte it seems after requesting scouting reports and videos of Achraf Hakimi.
As we know, Hakimi – who Ronaldo labelled ‘extraordinary‘ – was one of Conte’s trusted soldiers as his Inter Milan side won the Serie A title. The Moroccan star is now flying at PSG but is always mentioned when it comes to Conte looking for top talent at wing-back. Indeed, it was only back in June that reports claimed Spurs were keeping tabs on the wing-back’s situation at PSG.
And Hakimi’s impact is clearly admired around the world of football, with The Sun reporting today how current Spurs full-back Emerson Royal has been studying the PSG star. It’s claimed that Royal has had a personal scouting report commissioned on the former Real Madrid man, with the aim of studying his performances in order to improve his own game.

This, alongside an apparent spend of nearly £1m outside of standard training, shows that Emerson is trying his best to impress his new manager. Indeed, such has been Royal’s improvement that he is also expected to start tomorrow’s clash with Arsenal.
The Brazilian was replaced by Ivan Perisic for the 6-2 win over Leicester but will be hoping to win his place back when things get back underway at lunch-time tomorrow.
TBR’s View: Emerson Royal Deserves Credit For Tottenham Efforts
There is no denying that Royal is by far the finished article but he is doing his very best to try and improve and show his worth to the Tottenham cause.
Nobody will be able to say he hasn’t done his utmost to succeed so even if he is eventually moved on by Conte, he can go elsewhere with his head held high.
He deserves his chance against Arsenal, and if he can play well, then he might just cement his place in the XI for the long-term.
