Edwards labels Bukayo Saka special on Instagram after Arsenal win

Khayon Edwards has taken to Instagram to describe Bukayo Saka as special after the youngster scored the only goal on Sunday as Arsenal moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Saka scored the winner as the Gunners claimed a dramatic win in which Mikel Arteta’s side certainly rode their luck.

Arsenal may be wondering how they managed to leave Elland Road with three points. Leeds were superb during the second-half. And they created more than enough opportunities to turn the contest around.

A penalty was missed. And Aaron Ramsdale was outstanding. But Arsenal certainly breathed a huge sigh of relief at full-time.

The decisive moment of quality in front of goal came during the first-half. And, unsurprisingly, it was Saka who produced it.

Arsenal pounced on an awful pass from Rodrigo, with Saka and Martin Odegaard swarming around Pascal Struijk. Eventually, Odegaard was able to play Saka in. And the 21-year-old found the roof of the net, leaving Illan Meslier with little chance.

Saka is in superb form right now, scoring four goals in his last three appearances. And Edwards probably summed up how a lot of supporters feel about the forward right now with his response to Saka’s latest Instagram post…

No player in the Arsenal squad has now had a direct hand in more Premier League goals this season than Saka. He has scored four and provided four assists.

Considering his age, his record is truly remarkable. He has 61 goal involvements in 144 games for Arsenal in all competitions. It must not be forgotten that the Gunners were not in the best place for much of that time.

His consistency has been outstanding. And when Arsenal needed someone to really step up on Sunday, it was Saka who made the major difference with the only goal.
