'Thank you': Eddie Nketiah has just sent a message to Arsenal fans, amid reports he's off this summer
Arsenal smashed Everton on the final day of the season to end their own campaign on a good note, despite missing out to Tottenham in the top four race.
The Gunners put Frank Lampard’s men to the sword with ease in the end. In all honesty, it was a predictable performance from Lampard’s side, who had enjoyed an emotionally draining week when cementing their Premier League place in dramatic fashion.
For Arsenal, focus will now shift to the summer and recruitment. Of course, one of the other issues they need to address is a number of players who are set to leave. One of which is Eddie Nketiah. The striker has hit form late season, and is said to be wanted by Newcastle after failing to sign a new deal.
And taking to social media this evening, Nketiah has posted a message on Twitter to the Arsenal fans.
Whether or not Nketiah stays is yet to be seen. Arsenal have offered him fresh terms but with the season now over, you’d assume nothing has been decided.
The young striker can now look at the future and whether he sees that with Arsenal or not.
TBR’s View: Eddie Nketiah Can Be Arsenal’s Main Man With Time
There’s loads of talk about which striker Arsenal might sign this summer. Of course, they need one anyway, with Lacazette and Aubameyang having both gone.
However, Eddie Nketiah has shown everyone recently he can step up to the plate. His goals and performances overall have been excellent and in a way, he’s proven a point.
Nketiah could sign a new deal with Arsenal and really flourish. He can be their man man, and send a message to any incoming striker that he means business. Certainly, he’s shown enough in the last few weeks to suggest he can be a success.
