Arsenal made Eberechi Eze’s dream come true this past summer, and there are other players out there who would love a move to North London.
Eberechi Eze looked close to Tottenham Hotspur in a big-money summer move from Crystal Palace before Arsenal came calling.
A boyhood Arsenal fan, Eze chose a move to the Emirates Stadium and lived out his dream of returning to the club, having been released as a youngster.
Eze won’t be the only player out there harbouring dreams of playing for Arsenal, and one MLS star has admitted his Gunners desire.

Canada international Jayden Nelson on Arsenal dreams
Vancouver Whitecaps star Jayden Nelson has now stated that he would love to play for Arsenal one day.
The 22-year-old emerged in the Toronto FC youth ranks before flying the nest to join Norwegian side Rosenborg in 2023.
A loan spell to German side SSV Ulm didn’t work out last season, but Nelson has impressed since returning to his native Canada with Vancouver Whitecaps.
Nelson has racked up six assists and two goals in 20 MLS games this season, taking his game to a new level.
The winger has now told Give Me Sport that he would love to return to Europe after his spells with Rosenborg and Ulm.
Nelson noted that the Premier League is his ultimate dream, with Arsenal his team of choice in what would be an ‘amazing’ move.
Nelson admitted his admiration of Thierry Henry, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, while adding that fellow wide man Max Dowman is a ‘phenomenal’ prospect.
“100 per cent, my goal is to return to Europe again,” said Nelson, who has been praised as a ‘dynamic’ player on the official Vancouver Whitecaps website.
“That’s my dream, even though right now I am really happy at the Whitecaps. I would love to play in the Premier League one day. Arsenal is my team, and if I got to sign for them one day, it would be amazing.
“Back in the day, I loved Thierry Henry, and now I am a fan of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. Max Dowman is a phenomenal talent as well. There is a lot of quality in the Arsenal midfield,” he added.
Arsenal’s recent MLS signings
Whether Arsenal even have Canada international Nelson on the radar for future transfer windows is unclear.
Arsenal don’t often shop in the MLS market, and recent results have been a little mixed.
Goalkeeper Matt Turner joined Arsenal from New England Revolution in 2022, but was moved on to Nottingham Forest just a year later, having failed to impress between the sticks.
Arsenal also snapped up defender Auston Trusty in 2022, landing him from another Stan Kroenke-owned club, in Colorado Rapids.
Trusty spent time out on loan at Birmingham City before being sold to Sheffield United in 2023 and didn’t make a single appearance for the Gunners.
It’s unlikely that Arsenal will look to the MLS market again any time soon, but Nelson will hope to make himself impossible to ignore.
