Duncan Castles has told the Transfer Window podcast that Everton will sell Dom Calvert-Lewin if the price is right. Reports emerged earlier this week that Mikel Arteta wants Calvert-Lewin. Now, Castles has delivered some big transfer news – claiming Arsenal target Calvert-Lewin could leave Everton.
Calvert-Lewin, 24, has been in excellent form over the last couple of seasons. In the last 12 months, he scored 21 goals in 39 games for Everton – and has become a regular for England. He is yet to play for England at Euro 2020 as Harry Kane’s replacement, but continues to provide cover up top.
The Telegraph reported this week that Arsenal are monitoring Calvert-Lewin, while the Mirror claim he is worth £50million. Castles has claimed that Everton officials feel Calvert-Lewin has reached a ceiling in terms of his development. If they receive the right amount of money, they will sell.
“The guidance I have, is that Everton think Calvert-Lewin is very valuable – reached the peak of his development,” Castles claimed. “Everton have a sense he has reached his peak. If they’re going to cash in, this is the time. If they get a serious offer, they would seriously consider selling him.”

Arsenal transfer news: Could they really sign Everton’s Calvert-Lewin – after Castles claim?
Well, Alexandre Lacazette could depart. The Frenchman is out of contract in 12 months and if Arsenal want some cash for his services – they need to sell this summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been better from the left. Eddie Nketiah, like Lacazette, is also in the final year of his contract.
He has been linked with a move, too. So, Arsenal could do with a striker and clearly, Mikel Arteta is looking at English talent. Ben White is a target from Brighton. A move to sign Calvert-Lewin would be a really exciting move for all parties. Is he worth £50million? Probably.
