Arsenal were victorious once again at the weekend against Southampton, and there are no prizes for guessing who was amongst the goals.
Indeed, it was the usual suspects on the scoresheet on Saturday as Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli all found the net.
Havertz continued his incredible start to the season, and his goal against Southampton meant he has now scored in seven home games in a row.
Havertz’s incredible run isn’t necessarily something many saw coming, and speaking on the Gab and Juls Show, Don Hutchison has noted that the German has seriously proven him wrong in recent times.
The pundit says that Havertz has made him eat his words, claiming that he’s a great player who is very well-rounded.

Kai Havertz has proven Don Hutchison wrong
The pundit shared his verdict on the Arsenal star.
“Hey, everyone is eating their words on Kai Havertz, including me,” Hutchison said.
“He’s such a good player, he’s so versatile, he can play anywhere. He does everything, he’s great in the air, he’s physically very strong, he doesn’t mind a battle, good movement.”
What was said about Kai Havertz at Arsenal?
Hutchison says that many are eating their words on Havertz and he’s not wrong. The German was almost universally panned after his first few months at Arsenal.
Havertz was named as one the worst Premier League signings this time last year, while Darren Bent was scathing in his review of Havertz early last season.
“He’s not been up to the level. £65m without a goal or an assist, you need a few of either and there’s been nothing you need more than that. You say it’s early days, but he’s been in the league for so long. For £65m you need more than just pressing,” Bent said.
Now though, Havertz is one of the most effective and lethal strikers in the Premier League, and he deserves plenty of credit for his recent resurgence, making many pundits and so-called experts shut their mouths.
Havertz has become such an important player for Arsenal, and if the Gunners are to win the league this season, he’ll have a huge part to play.
