Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has now admitted that he’s been unhappy after their last two games on the Footballer’s Football podcast.
The Magpies have picked up emphatic wins in their last two games, beating Brentford 5-1 on the weekend and smashing Fulham 4-1 at Craven Cottage the week before.
The back to back wins have lifted Newcastle to sixth in the Premier League but Wilson has been left disappointed after both games.
The 30-year-old admitted last week that he was ‘annoyed’ after only scoring once against Fulham. The former Bournemouth man feels he should have bagged a hat-trick on the day.
Now, Wilson says he was unhappy after the Brentford game as his finishing was below-par.

Wilson unhappy after last two games
Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Wilson says Eddie Howe’s side were not at the top of the game at St James’ Park over the weekend.
“To be honest, even though we scored five goals, I felt that our team performance wasn’t where it’s been in previous weeks.
“I think that we were off it a little bit at the weekend, I think we have more to go and more to give.
“Personally I felt that I had an okay game. My hold up play was good and got an assist, but my finishing was a little rusty and sloppy here and there.
“I missed a few chances. I was probably disappointed, even though we won 5-1, I was disappointed because I’m hungry to score goals and trying to make up for lost time.”

Wilson has just returned from an injury which kept him on the sidelines since the 3-3 draw with Manchester City back in August.
The striker has already netted three goals in five games in the Premier League but is clearly eager to increase his tally.
Newcastle fans will be encouraged to hear that Wilson has been disappointed after securing big results in their last two games. It’s a good sign that Newcastle aren’t getting carried away and still want to improve on their performances.
