Tottenham Hotspur beat Burnley in the FA Cup last night thanks to a stunner from Pedro Porro, and Destiny Udogie was wowed by his teammate’s strike.

Ange Postecoglou named a strong lineup yesterday unlike what he did in the League Cup last year. He really wanted the win, and thanks to Porro, his side managed to get over the line.

Tottenham were the favourites to beat Burnley last night and they did just that, but it wasn’t easy.

Spurs wasted plenty of chances in front of goal. Burnley could’ve scored a goal or two themselves as well, but it just didn’t seem like the ball was going to go in.

It was one of those games where everyone felt a moment of magic was needed to seal the result, and thankfully for Tottenham, Pedro Porro stepped with a sensational goal.

The Spaniard picked the ball up after a mistake by Burnley, was allowed space to set a shot up and pulled the trigger from outside the box.

Porro found the back of the net in fantastic style, and that was enough for Spurs to progress to the next round of the competition.

The 24-year-old took to Instagram to celebrate his goal after the win. Destiny Udogie commented “Wow”, while Micky van de Ven replied with a rocket emoji.

Pedro Porro has been one of Tottenham’s most improved players

Tottenham signed Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon last year, and the Spaniard had a tough start to life here in England.

He came under a fair bit of criticism during his first few months at the club, and there were even doubts over whether Spurs had signed the right player.

However, since the start of this season, Porro has been outstanding. Ange Postecoglou has brought the best out of him, and last night’s goal shows there’s still so much more to come from him.

Porro’s improvement deserves a ton of praise, and the fact that he’s still only 24 means he’ll only get better in the coming years.
