Football journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that reported Tottenham Hotspur target Denzel Dumfries‘ price tag has shot up following his impressive performances at the World Cup this year.
The Dutchman has long been linked with a move to the Premier League. He moved to Inter Milan last year, but it looks like the Nerazzuri are ready to cash in on him already.
Tottenham, however, will not be able to land him for a small fee.

Denzel Dumfries will cost Tottenham at least £50m now
Just about a week ago, TuttoSport warned Chelsea that Spurs are keen to sign Dumfries.
‘Watch out for Tottenham,’ the outlet wrote as they claimed that the North Londoners want him at the club irrespective of whether Conte stays or leaves at the end of this season.
Dumfries, who showed his quality again at the World Cup in Qatar, could be a wanted man in the January transfer window, but O’Rourke has claimed his asking price has shot up now.
The journalist told GiveMeSport: “Denzel Dumfries has been outstanding at the World Cup for the Netherlands, and I think his price tag’s just gone up and up.
“So it’s going to be hard for Tottenham to strike a deal with Inter Milan this January to sign Dumfries, who’s probably going to be at least £50 million.”
Dumfries’ current contract at Inter Milan does not expire until the summer of 2025.

TBR View:
If there’s one area of Tottenham’s squad that’s in desperate need of improvement, it’s right-wing-back.
Both Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty are simply not on the level that Conte wants them to be at, while the Italian just doesn’t seem to fancy summer signing Djed Spence for some reason.
A new right-wing-back is an absolute necessity for Spurs in 2023, and Dumfries would be a very interesting option.
However, we just can’t see Daniel Levy sanctioning over £50 million on a wing-back.
