Report: 'Class' Tottenham player has now said his goodbyes to staff at Hotspur Way ahead of potential exit

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Dele Alli, has reportedly said his goodbyes to some staff members at Hotspur Way. amid increasing speculation surrounding his future at the club.

The midfielder looks to finally be on his way out of the club after a poor few years under different managers. Alli was previously seen as one of England’s best emerging talents. However, recent seasons have seen the former MK Dons man drop off considerably. Antonio Conte, it seems, is now ready to be the manager who lets Dele go.

And according to The Evening Standard, Alli has already given his thanks to certain staff members at the club in the event that he does seal a transfer in the coming days. Should he leave Spurs, it will bring an end to a seven-year spell for the midfielder in North London. Alli signed for Tottenham in a bargain £5m deal back in 2015.

Alli has played more than 250 games for Tottenham, scoring 67 and assisting a further 61 in the process. However, it appears his time has now come. Newcastle are said to be one of the clubs keen on taking him from Spurs.

Reports this weekend suggested the Magpies had already started the ball rolling when it came to the Spurs star.

TBR’s View: Dele Alli Needs To Leave Tottenham

And more for his own sake than anything else. Sometimes a player can become stale and suffer from a lack of motivation. This seems to have happened with Dele Alli.

The good news is that he’s still young enough to get his career back on track. There is definitely a quality player in there, we all know there is. It might just need a change of scenery for us to see it again. Indeed, it was only this season Jack Grealish labelled Alli ‘class’ for his performance against Liverpool.

Newcastle would give Dele the chance to showcase his talents. However, he’d need to find form quickly, with the Toon running out of time to get things right in the league.
