Dejan Kulusevski has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur forward Dane Scarlett.

Scarlett is back at Tottenham after a loan spell at Ipswich Town.

So, what has Tottenham Hotspur forward Dejan Kulusevski said about Dane Scarlett? Let’s take a look.

Dejan Kulusevski comments on Tottenham Hotspur forward Dane Scarlett

Well, Dane Scarlett is back at Tottenham Hotspur now. The 19-year-old forward joined Ipswich Town on loan from Spurs in the summer of 2023.

The teenager was supposed to stay on loan at Ipswich until the summer of 2024, but Tottenham decided to recall him early.

Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has said that Scarlett will stay in his first-team squad for the rest of the season.

And, Dejan Kulusevski is pleased to see England Under-21 international forward Scarlett back in training with the first team.

Kulusevski told Tottenham’s official website: “We’re happy that players are coming back. Micky’s coming back, Sess is back and playing well, the youngsters came in, Dane (Scarlett) is back (from his loan at Ipswich), and we’re happy to have him back.”

My View: Don’t put too much pressure on Dane Scarlett

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should not put too much pressure on Dane Scarlett. I think that the fans should be patient with him.

Scarlett is only 19 now. He is nowhere close to becoming the finished article and is not going to play week in and week out for Spurs anytime soon.

What the England Under-21 international forward needs to do is work hard in training and follow whatever instructions Postecoglou gives him.

For the teenager to be a long-term success at Tottenham, he has to understand Postecoglou’s system and impress him in training.

Scarlett is only 19 now, but he has already amassed a decent amount of experience. The forward has played twice in the Premier League so far in his career.

During his loan spell at Portsmouth last season, Scarlett made 19 starts and 15 substitute appearances in League One. The forward scored four goals and gave one assist in those games.

At Ipswich this season, the forward made 12 substitute appearances in the Championship.
