Dejan Kulusevski has revealed that Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal are ‘always fighting’ in Tottenham’s group chat.

Spurs have a tight-knit group now under Ange Postecoglou. You can see the positivity and togetherness around the squad, not just in games but outside as well. Vice-captain Romero, who is a fighter on the pitch, apparently keeps fighting with Emerson off it.

Dejan Kulusevski says Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal are always fighting

Cristian Romero is a very popular figure at Tottenham, isn’t he?

The Argentine is among the best defenders in the Premier League, and he is the leader of the Spanish-speaking and South American group at the club.

Emerson Royal is another popular member behind the scenes. The £26 million (The Athletic) man’s posts on social media show he’s always joking around at the training ground and everyone around him has a smile on their face.

But, what happens in the Tottenham players’ group chat?

Well, Dejan Kulusevski has revealed that the two players who are always fighting are Romero and Emerson.

He told BBC Sport: “Maddison is quite active (on the group chat), he’s always there writing things.

“Then Romero and Emerson always fighting with each other. Nobody cares but they think they’re only those two in the group.”

Tottenham need Romero back

Tottenham have been very unlucky with injuries this season, haven’t they?

James Maddison and Micky van de Ven have been out injured since November, while Romero, after missing three games due to suspension, is now out with an injury of his own.

Tottenham have had to deploy Emerson Royal and Ben Davies in central defence this season, and although they’ve both fared pretty well, Spurs have been conceding too many chances.

Van de Ven is back fit now, and if Tottenham can get Romero back soon too, they will become a much stronger side than they are now.
