Arsenal and Liverpool settled for a 1-1 draw at Anfield yesterday, and Gabriel Magalhaes’ performance seems to have really impressed Declan Rice.

Jurgen Klopp‘s side were the favourites to win the game, but the Gunners did really well to pick up a point. Gabriel, who scored Arsenal‘s goal, was one of the best players on the pitch.

Declan Rice impressed by Arsenal teammate Gabriel Magalhaes vs Liverpool

Arsenal started the game brilliantly and were all over Liverpool in the opening exchanges of the game.

Mikel Arteta‘s side’s strong start pushed Liverpool back, and the Reds panicked and gifted a free kick a long way outside the box.

Martin Odegaard stepped up for Arsenal, and he laid it on a plate for Gabriel Magalhaes, who headed home brilliantly to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Gabriel was extremely solid at the other end of the pitch as well. The Brazilian, along with William Saliba, kept Liverpool at bay more often than not, and he deserves immense praise.

The 26-year-old took to Instagram after the game to thank the travelling fans for their support.

An impressed Declan Rice showed him some love. He wrote: “So good u are bro!”

Saliba commented: “Monster!”

Arsenal’s Gabriel is extremely underrated

Gabriel Magalhaes has been absolutely immense for Arsenal since he joined them three years ago.

The Brazil international’s performances are almost always solid, but because of William Saliba’s brilliance next to him, he doesn’t always get the credit he deserves.

Even yesterday, Saliba was absolutely incredible, and if it wasn’t for Gabriel’s goal, not many people would be talking about him now.

However, every Arsenal fan and player knows just how good Gabriel is. He has been brilliant so far this season, and if he can continue to deliver like has has done, the Gunners have every chance of going all the way in the Premier League title race.
