Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber have both sent messages to Gabriel Magalhaes on social media following Arsenal’s win over Brentford on Saturday evening.
The Gunners secured a vital three points at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
It wasn’t exactly a vintage Arsenal performance as they struggled to break down a resilient Brentford side.
Aaron Ramsdale’s mistake at the end of the first half also gifted the Bees an equaliser. But Mikel Arteta will once again be content with his side’s display in the defensive third and Gabriel Magalhaes caught the eye alongside William Saliba.

Rice and Timber laud Gabriel after Arsenal beat Brentford
Following yesterday’s 2-1 win, Gabriel took to Instagram and posted a series of pictures of himself in action.
The defender wrote: “Passion.”
Two of his teammates, Rice and Timber, left comments beneath the post while Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar also replied.

Arsenal’s improvements in attack have understandably grabbed the headlines this year.
Arteta’s men were struggling to find the back of the net during the festive period but have been exceptional in front of goal since returning from their mid-season break. Yet, their work in the defensive third can often go under the radar.
Gabriel has excelled this term and while Saliba often earns the plaudits, the £27 million Brazilian has barely put a foot wrong.
If Arsenal do go on to win the title, their backline will have played a key role in their success.

The Gunners currently boast the best defensive record in the league and should they continue to limit their opponents to scraps in front of goal, they should be right in the mix come May.
Gabriel has been described as a ‘horrible’ player to face and you can certainly understand why due to his aggressive style.
His game compliments Saliba’s perfectly though and it’s easy to see why the duo are recognised as one of the best partnerships in the league right now.
