Arsenal have the most stingy defence in the Premier League right now.
In recent weeks, the Gunners have decided that they’re no longer in the business of conceding goals, while they’re not even conceding many chances at the moment.
Arsenal have been utterly dominant as of late, and their incredible defence has played a massive part in that.
William Saliba, as ever, has been at the forefront of Arsenal’s defensive brilliance, but Gabriel Magalhaes has been equally as brilliant as of late.
Speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Dean Ashton has been discussing Gabriel, and he says that the Brazilian would be absolutely horrible to play against.

Gabriel would be terrible to play against
Ashton spoke about the centre-back.
“Saliba gets the headlines because he’s so smooth, but Gabriel to me as well. I wouldn’t like to play against him, he’s super aggressive in his nature and the way he defends, he’s probably horrible to play against,” Ashton said.
Torrid
We don’t envy any attacker who has to come up against Saliba and Gabriel.
Gabriel is one of the strongest and most aggressive defenders in the Premier League, while Saliba is the Rolls Royce next to him.
Gabriel will come and stop you, but even on the odd occasion that you do manage to get past him, Saliba will be right there to sweep up any danger.
These two have combined to make one of the very best defensive pairings in the Premier League, and if Arsenal are able to go on and win the title this season, these two defenders will deserve a lot of credit.
Whether or not you prefer Saliba or Gabriel is up for debate, but one thing is for sure, these two are a couple of the best defenders in the Premier League right now.
