Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Leeds United will sign another striker before the transfer window shuts despite being one of the busiest sides in the Premier League thus far.
Many would have worried for Leeds with Kalvin Phillips leaving and Raphinha likely to follow suit. However, it does appear that Jesse Marsch’s men have actually enjoyed a positive window.

They have made several exciting signings. And it does appear that their squad as a whole is in a much stronger place compared to last year when injuries decimated the ranks.
But there are still a couple of areas for concern. And one of those is up front. Leeds have not signed an out and out striker so far.
They do have options in the likes of Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo and Joe Gelhardt. But Gelhardt is a youngster. Bamford endured a nightmare year last time out, and Rodrigo is yet to be prolific since arriving.

They have been linked with other names, including Arnaud Kalimuendo and Charles De Ketelaere. And Jones has insisted that Leeds are unlikely to end this window without a new striker coming in.
“Leeds are still going to bring in a centre-forward, they will still sign another goal-getter if you like,” he told Give Me Sport.
“They just need another figure but they need to be more exciting than they have been.”
Leeds will sign another striker
It will encourage supporters that Leeds look set to strengthen further. Given how important Phillips and Raphinha have been, it is imperative that the new faces hit the ground running.
Obviously, some will settle quicker than others. So, in very basic terms, the more signings a club makes, the more likely it is that one or two will look inspired immediately.
Signing a new striker provides a fanbase with a lift like no other. It seems that Leeds have every intention of making that happen in the coming weeks.
