Report: Leeds target Arnaud Kalimuendo will cost £18.8m this summer
Leeds United are not far away from meeting PSG’s asking price for Arnaud Kalimuendo, with Foot Mercato in France reporting that the striker will cost £18.8m this summer.
Kalimuendo could become one of the next names to arrive at Elland Road this summer. Leeds have already got two signings through the door. And Marc Roca looks set to become their third addition of the window.
The Independent has reported on Thursday that Leeds have now made a £17 million bid for Kalimuendo. He is attracting attention after a successful loan spell with Lens.
The 20-year-old scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 this past season. He finished the campaign as their top goalscorer.
The Independent suggested that talks with PSG are likely to be complicated. Those at Parc des Princes are set to want a buy-back clause included in any deal.
That will be a hurdle that Leeds will need to clear. But it does appear that the two clubs are not too far away in their respective valuations of the youngster.
In fact, Foot Mercato reports that PSG want just £18.8 million for Kalimuendo. They plan to meet with his representatives to discuss his future in the coming weeks.

Leeds must sign a new striker this summer. Patrick Bamford endured a miserable season due to injury. And without him, the Whites were nowhere near as threatening.
Kalimuendo is clearly not yet the finished article. But he has started to prove himself in the top-flight in France. And PSG’s desire to agree a buy-back clause shows that they view him as a real talent.
The last time Leeds spent almost £20 million on a Ligue 1 talent seemed to turn out pretty well for the Whites, after all.
