Danny Murphy backs Randal Kolo Muani to improve at Tottenham

Randal Kolo Muani has had a slow start to life at Tottenham, with injuries impacting him in the early weeks.

Now back to fitness, the striker had an impact in the game against Copenhagen, with one assist to his name.

There were a few chances that went begging, however, which has left some wanting a little more from the star.

Danny Murphy has backed him to improve, as he said on TalkSPORT Daily: “And the other thing, and you’ll see a couple of really poor misses from Kolo Muani and that doesn’t do his performance justice.

“He could be a player for Tottenham. I know they’ve got some problems up front at the minute, but he’s getting fitter and stronger and he was an absolute handful. He looks a decent player.”

There were certainly some promising moments for Kolo Muani, with some hope that he can continue to get into the right areas.

If the Tottenham loanee can finish some of those chances, he will quickly become an important player for the team.

Thomas Frank’s praise for Randal Kolo Muani at Tottenham

Randal Kolo Muani’s return to fitness has come as a huge boost for Tottenham, who have struggled to click in an attacking sense this season.

The forward is growing with every game, which Thomas Frank is very pleased with.

Speaking after the game, the manager said: “I think he’s just taking steps in the right direction and he’s getting more and more fit.

“I will still go as far as I don’t think he’s fully firing yet, but you can see he’s such a handful to play against. The goal is a ball in behind where he just can’t really control it, the defender and he’s practically on the goalkeeper.

“Then he shows extreme composure to just take the ball down and a nice assist for Wilson [Odobert]. He’s through two or three times and could have scored more.

“So I think he was a threat, probably also should have scored on the header.”

With a big game against Manchester United and then the North London Derby after, Kolo Muani could make quite an impact.
