Micah Richards has blasted Tottenham duo Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven for their antics towards manager Thomas Frank on Saturday evening – after they snubbed the Danish boss following their loss to Chelsea.
Tottenham weren’t quite at the races against London rivals Chelsea, mustering just three shots against the Blues to put a dampener on their solid win over Everton the week prior.
Danish boss Thomas Frank will know that he can get better out of his side, boasting the best away record in the division but also one of the worst at home, with only the current bottom three being less productive on home soil.
However, with Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven storming down the tunnel, it hasn’t sent a good message to the fans – which Micah Richards has blasted the duo for their actions.

Micah Richards would drop Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence after Thomas Frank snub
Footage emerged of Spence and Van de Ven walking straight off the pitch once the referee blew his full-time whistle against Chelsea.
However, they stormed right past Thomas Frank, with their gaffer being left high and dry in terms of acknowledgment, which caused an immediate stir among the fanbase.
And Micah Richards has stated that those antics will need to be cut out – with the pundit saying that both players should be dropped for their next fixture if they did mean to freeze Frank out.
He said on The Rest is Football podcast: “Djed Spence and [Micky] Van de Ven… I listened to a bit of an interview with Thomas Frank, and he sort of played it down.
“Well, you would — it’s important. He is a guy to play it down, yes, agreed.
But if they’re disrespecting the manager like that, it’s an absolute disgrace. And if they did, I wouldn’t even play him in the next game.
“I really wouldn’t, because Thomas Frank’s not the sort of person who causes confrontations. So that would just be a lack of respect. But yeah, it’s strange coming from Van de Ven especially.”
Spurs are still fifth in the Premier League table, a marked improvement from last season’s 17th-placed finish under Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham are still doing well under Thomas Frank
It’s not a good look for fans, who now have huge fixtures coming up against Manchester United and Arsenal in the Premier League before a Champions League away trip.
While Spurs haven’t got a great home record, they are proving tougher to beat this season, at least. Their highest losing margin is just one goal in the league, which has happened three times.
By this stage last season, Spurs had already lost four games in the Premier League and were, unbeknownst to them, about to go on another awful run.

Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham for his poor league form and a major reason for that was the huge margins of goals in losses, despite Tottenham winning their first trophy in 17 years under his tutelage.
Tottenham had lost nine games by Boxing Day, and were beaten in 22 of their Premier League fixtures last season.
There’s no guarantee that won’t happen this time around, but Frank would have to lose 19 of his remaining 28 Premier League games in charge. That already seems like a task that simply won’t happen in any scenario.
