Norwich City boss, Daniel Farke, has come out fighting when it comes to Max Aarons, who is reportedly wanted by Everton, Spurs, and West Ham.

Farke has led Norwich back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Aarons has, once again, been in integral part of the squad and has a number of admirers higher up the food chain it seems.

This week, Everton and West Ham were linked with a move by the Press Association, Further, Spurs have also registered an interest which goes as far back as January.

But speaking to the Pink Un’ this week, Farke says a move for Aarons would be pointless at this stage, instead calling for the young full-back to stay at Carrow Road and play regular football.

“If I was to walk in his shoes, what we can offer right now is a club that totally trusts him, a head coach who totally trusts him, teammates who love him, fans who love him,” Farke commented.

“He will play in the best league in the world next season and has a good chance to play many, many minutes. It’s a great chance for him and us to shine at the top level. It makes no sense to travel to a different club where he might be able to earn a few more pounds. My gut feeling is it makes no sense at his age to move somewhere where he is a back-up.”

TBR View: Farke has a point about Aarons, one more season won’t hurt

The German coach make a good and fair point here. He doesn’t want to restrict Aarons and does say he fancies him to succeed at the highest level. But at the moment, where would Aarons play?

He’s not going to dislodge the likes of Coufal and Coleman at Everton and West Ham, while Spurs have Aurier and Doherty on the books.

If Aarons leaves, it needs to be to somewhere he’ll play all the time. If that’s not the case, then he should stay in Norwich.
