TBR Football understand Crystal Palace are now set to compete against Manchester United for one of the best players in the Championship.
The south Londoners have recruited incredibly well from this division in recent years, bringing the likes of Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton to Selhurst Park from Reading, QPR and Blackburn respectively.
Naturally, Crystal Palace are now seeing their Premier League rivals explore this market as well given how successful it has been for those in SE25.
The Championship currently houses a number of excellent talents, such as Gustavo Hamer, Tom Fellows, Borja Sainz and Jobe Bellingham.
Now, TBR Football can reveal some new information on the latter – as Crystal Palace and Manchester United compete for his signature.
Crystal Palace and Manchester United eye Jobe Bellingham
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been told that the Premier League duo are eager to sign the Sunderland No.7 this summer.

Bellingham – brother of Jude Bellingham – has excelled for the Black Cats this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 40 Championship appearances from central midfield.
The 19-year-old’s efforts helped Sunderland finish fourth and book a spot in the playoffs, while, on a personal level, the teenager’s performances earned him the Championship Young Player of the Season award.
TBR Football understand Sunderland feel their only chance of keeping Bellingham – who Troy Deeney admires – is by winning these playoffs and securing promotion to the Premier League.
Sources add that Manchester United are very much in the hunt to sign the England U21 international as INEOS aim to improve the squad for Ruben Amorim.
In regards to Crystal Palace, the Eagles have been chasing Bellingham for most of 2025 and will push for his signature this summer – they feel the success of Wharton, Olise and Eze could appeal to the Sunderland maestro.
Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring Bellingham, who is valued in the region of £20m, after the successful signing of Jude Bellingham – a £25m recruit from Birmingham in July 2020 who later became an £88m sale to Real Madrid.
Manchester United also want another Sunderland star
Bellingham is not the only Sunderland player admired by those at Old Trafford.
TBR Football understand Manchester United like Chris Rigg and are keen to sign the midfielder – although the Red Devils face competition from Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal for the England U19 international.
