Crystal Palace are reportedly battling Wolves and West Ham in the race to sign Liverpool outcast Divock Origi before the end of the transfer window. Origi is firmly placed well down the pecking order at Liverpool. Palace fans have reacted, and many think Liverpool ace Origi is a good signing.

Origi, 26, was used just 17 times by Liverpool in all competitions last season – playing nine times in the Premier League. But those nine league outings amounted to just 181 minutes in England’s top flight. Now, he is likely to leave Liverpool in the coming weeks – though he has a contract until 2024.

What are Palace fans saying about Liverpool star Origi?

The Telegraph reports that Palace are now in the mix for Origi. Of course, Palace have a recent history of buying Liverpool players for quite an expense – Christian Benteke and Mamadou Sakho exceeding £40million. But Palace are undeterred, facing competition from West Ham and Wolves.

Palace do need a striker, with Benteke and Jordan Ayew struggling to really provide the goal threat needed. Jean-Philippe Mateta started against Chelsea on Saturday but is yet to find his feet in English football. Palace fans, though, think Liverpool star Origi would be a good signing.
