Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly pushing hard to sign Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne – and could even go after him next month. Now, they have a trump card up their sleeve, worth a huge £25million.
Insigne, 30, is out of contract at Napoli at the end of the season. Having clocked up more than 400 appearances, and more than 200 goal involvements in that time – Euro 2020 winner Insigne looks likely to go.
Italian journalist Fabio Santini says that Tottenham are pushing hard to sign Insigne – to Area Napoli. It is believed that Insigne is flattered, but is yet to make a decision – to stay until the summer, stay completely, or go in January.
However, Tottenham might have just been given the chance to tempt Napoli into a deal next month – which could in turn make Napoli tempt Insigne into an early exit. The trump card comes in the form of Davinson Sanchez.

Why Sanchez could help Tottenham get Napoli superstar Insigne…
Italian outlet Calcio In Pillole claim that Napoli are interested in signing Sanchez. The report states that a fee of £25million would be needed to bring the ex-Ajax man to the Serie A club.
Sanchez is out of favour under Antonio Conte. Joe Rodon is cover for Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga for Cristian Romero and a left-footed defender is likely to be targeted as cover for Ben Davies.
So, Napoli want Sanchez – with Spurs likely to let him go. Tottenham want Insigne – and Napoli might have to sell him in January to get him some cash. So, perhaps both clubs could strike a player-plus-cash deal – or a swap.
