Antonio Conte has told Gazzetta dello Sport that Harry Kane is one member of the Tottenham Hotspur squad who has surprised him a lot with how hard he works for the team.
Conte has been in place for more than a month now. And it does appear that he is starting to make decisions on certain members of his squad.

Others are showing signs that they may prove to be revelations under Conte. And there is excitement about what impact the Italian can have in the months to come.
One player yet to experience an upturn in fortunes since Conte came in is Kane. The striker is yet to add to his tally of one Premier League goal this term. In fact, his only strike since the change in the dug-out came on that ill-fated night against Mura.

It is alarming that Kane has one goal in 13 league games. But clearly, Conte has few concerns about the forward’s form as he lauded the amount of effort he is putting in.
“He is a player who surprised me a lot,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “He makes himself available and works for the team despite being among the strongest forwards in the world. He has a sense of the collective that is truly commendable, I hope to be able to contribute to his growth and that of Tottenham.”
Antonio Conte keeping faith in Harry Kane only going to help Tottenham talisman turn fortunes around
It is surprising just how little luck Kane has had in front of goal. His record is all the more perplexing because there seems to have barely been any suggestion that he should be left out of the team. His performances have not been terrible by any means.
And perhaps that may partially be down to Tottenham’s lack of options up front, too.
Conte keeping faith in Kane is only going to help the striker rediscover his goalscoring touch. And it certainly appears that the Tottenham boss feels that he has little reason to lose confidence in his talisman.
