Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his YouTube channel about Harry Kane’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur and says it has now completely changed.

There has been speculation surrounding Kane’s future in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that Bayern Munich are ready to lodge a bid.

The 29-year-old was the centre of a transfer saga last summer too as Manchester City tried to tempt him away from north London.

The Spurs star is now into the final two years of his contract with Tottenham and it seems that his situation has now totally changed.

Kane’s situation has now totally changed

Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Romano says that Kane is now happy at Spurs due to the impact Antonio Conte has had at the club.

Romano said: “First important point is about Tottenham because we remember that a bit more than one year ago, Harry Kane wanted to leave. But now the situation is completely different.

“Harry Kane is happy with Tottenham, he’s happy with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici. The Italians have changed the feeling for the club. Of course, together with Daniel Levy but the work of Antonio Conte has been something special.

“Fabio Paratici, the new director, arrived last summer and did something really important to change the atmosphere around Tottenham and around Kane.

“So, at the moment Kane is happy at Tottenham. He’s not in a rush to leave the club as it was one-year ago. So the situation is completely different.”

The transfer inside also provided an update on the ongoing talks between Kane and Spurs over a new deal.

Romano claims that Tottenham will be prioritising the extension of Kane’s contract over the coming months.

“As of now, there is still no full agreement, no full breakthrough in the talks between Harry Kane and Tottenham to accept the contract,” he added.

“This is not a dangerous situation, it’s simply a normal situation, they’re speaking, they’re discussing, they have a good relationship.

“But as of today, there is still no full agreement. Let’s see what happens in the next weeks and months because Tottenham want to extend the contract and they want to have Harry Kane as the face of the project for the future. But as of now, it’s still not the case of saying ‘okay, we have a full agreement on everything’.

“Work in progress. We know that extending the contracts of top players needs some time and is absolutely something normal. But Tottenham will be on it. This is the mission on the club’s side.”

Conte will be desperate to keep hold of his star striker, amid apparent interest from the Bundesliga champions.

It seems likely that his and Kane’s futures are connected, with the England captain buying into what Conte is building at Spurs.

If the Italian remains at Tottenham and continues to build a squad capable of challenging for trophies, Kane may be content to stay in North London.
