Cody Drameh appeared to take a philosophical view on social media after being sent off during Leeds United’s under-23 win over Sunderland on Monday.

Drameh was one of the Whites’ most impressive performers as they looked set to secure a 3-0 victory. The right-back was superb defensively and looked a real threat when he burst forward.

His performance was lauded by the supporters on social media. However, his afternoon ended prematurely in bizarre circumstances.

Drameh picked up what appeared to be a harsh yellow card during the first-half. And he was dismissed towards the latter stages of the game – which Leeds would ultimately win 3-1 – after clashing with an opponent.

The 18-year-old was taken out by a bad challenge. That prompted Drameh to get up and retaliate. The right-back pushed his opponent away.

And while Drameh did not use excessive force, the referee decided that it was enough to warrant a second yellow card.

It was a blow for the youngster. He will now be suspended for Mark Jackson’s side’s next game.

However, his end to the game takes little away from how good Drameh was for much of the contest.

And that may be why he did not appear to react too strongly to the decision as he took to social media. It would certainly not be a surprise if his Instagram story was making reference to his dismissal.

Here is what Drameh posted on social media…
