A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Cody Drameh’s performance as the right-back starred in their under-23 win over Sunderland on Monday, before his afternoon ended in bizarre circumstances.
The Whites secured a 3-1 win in an exciting game. Sam Greenwood bagged a hat-trick against his old club. His first goal saw the forward lift the ball over the goalkeeper after a good pass from Joe Gelhardt.

And he completed the treble after the break. He scored a stunning free-kick and then rifled a thunderous shot into the roof of the net for the visitors’ third.
Greenwood will, understandably, take many of the headlines. But there was another of the club’s summer signings who impressed many of the fans on social media.

Drameh was excellent down Leeds’s right flank. Defensively, he rarely looked troubled. And he produced some really bright moments going forward.
He made a number of impressive runs into the final third, including one in the first-half that nearly led to a Stuart McKinstry goal.
Unfortunately for the defender, his afternoon ended prematurely as he was shown a second yellow card. The referee seemingly decided that he had reacted badly to a bad challenge. However, it did not appear that the youngster did a lot wrong.
Despite the disappointing end to the game, plenty of fans are clearly convinced that Drameh is destined for the first-team in the near future.
Of course, he has Luke Ayling to try and put pressure on. But, while that may appear a daunting task, Drameh appears to have a serious amount of potential.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Drameh’s display…
