Thomas Partey has made just five appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season, with the midfielder suffering from injury after injury.
With Declan Rice and Kai Havertz now Mikel Arteta’s preferred midfield starters alongside Martin Odegaard, it’s clear that Arsenal have now begun moving on from Partey.
Reports have indicated that the midfielder could be off in 2024, and according to journalist Dean Jones, the odds of Partey actually leaving Arsenal in the new year are now rather strong.

Jones said: “It is definitely possible. It is heading towards probable that he ends up leaving Arsenal. Clubs are starting to understand the situation that will be needed to sign him.
“I think that the fact he has had a couple of injuries this season makes it a little bit more difficult because clubs will be a little bit more wary about what they’re actually getting here. They’ll want to know the full story about what is going on with Thomas Partey right now and how he is feeling personally.
“What is the situation surrounding him right now? There’s a lot to take in here, I think. But, certainly, his time at Arsenal is ticking down. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ended up leaving in January.”
Thomas Partey leaving Arsenal could be for the best

Injuries have been a consistent theme for Partey in his Arsenal spell, with the midfielder being struck by the fitness curse having spent his career with Atletico Madrid as one of the healthiest players in Europe.
Signed for £45m in 2020, now could be the right time for Partey to leave north London, especially with Arteta now setting on a new midfield trio featuring two summer signings.
At 30-years-old, Partey can offer a lot to another top club if a good enough bid comes in for the midfielder this January, with Arsenal seemingly open to selling the Ghanaian.
Indeed, Arteta seems open to signing a replacement already for Partey, and the midfielder could be moved on with little fuss in January if an interested club comes forward with a good bid.
