Al-Shabab are reportedly still pushing hard to sign Miguel Almiron despite Newcastle United’s stance on selling the winger.
The 29-year-old Paraguay star has been subject to strong interest from the Saudi Arabian side this January, with Almiron one of many Newcastle players who could be regrettably sold this month.
The Magpies’ current financial situation means Eddie Howe might have to let go of a star player or two to raise funds needed to make signings, something Newcastle have desperately searched for this January.

And according to the Daily Mail, Al-Shabab are not giving up on their pursuit of Almiron despite Newcastle making it clear that the former Atlanta United attacker isn’t for sale.
A player who is beloved by Kieran Trippier and who Bruno Guimaraes lauded as ‘amazing’, Almiron is a firm fan favourite at St. James’ Park and a key player for Howe’s style of play.
Yet with Newcastle in need of finances and Almiron approaching 30, now could be as good a time as any to sell the South American in order to raise funds for late signings in the January window.
Newcastle selling Miguel Almiron to Al-Shabab could save their season

Football is a business centred around making tough decisions, and Newcastle could soon have to accept that they will have to make such a move in the coming days with Almiron.
As much as the Paraguay international is beloved by players and fans, Newcastle simply needed money if they’re to make some late additions that could well save their Premier League season.
The Magpies are well off pace for European football, with a top-four finish already looking impossible with Newcastle 14 points off fourth-place Aston Villa.
And if selling Almiron means Newcastle can make one or two signings to push Newcastle on, then the decision has to be made soon with so little time left remaining.
