Arsenal are making some progress with outgoings on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners have made seven new signings already this summer, and an eighth one – Piero Hincapie – is set to put pen to paper before the window shuts.

The focus now has to be on moving players on, and Arsenal have already agreed deals to offload Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira, both to Hamburg.

Jakub Kiwior is also set to join Porto imminently, but there could be more outgoings in the coming hours.

Besiktas are ready to offer Arsenal star Reiss Nelson a salary hike

Reiss Nelson’s future has been up in the air for several months now.

The Englishman spent last season on loan at Fulham, but injuries stopped him from showing his best level under Marco Silva.

Fulham are still interested in signing Nelson, who is on Crystal Palace’s radar as well on deadline day.

Now, CBS Sports have revealed that Turkish giants Besiktas are also keen on the Arsenal winger.

Nelson could’ve left the Gunners on a free transfer two years ago, but Mikel Arteta convinced him to sign a new contract and stay at the club. That deal increased his wages to £100,000-a-week.

Now, the report claims that Besiktas are willing to offer an increase on the above salary if Nelson agrees to join them.

The likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace are under pressure to complete this deal because of the 7:00 pm deadline, but Besiktas have no such worry.

The Turkish window does not close until the 12th of September, so they have all the time in the world to convince Nelson to join them.

What is Reiss Nelson’s preference if he leaves Arsenal?

A move to Turkey on wages higher than £100,000-a-week must be tempting for any footballer.

Nelson will have to take some time and think about it if such a proposal is made, but the report claims that he favours staying in England.

The 25-year-old knows everyone at Fulham, having spent last season on loan there, while a move to Crystal Palace will see him reunite with his good pal Eddie Nketiah.

As things stand, those moves are said to be more appealing to Nelson, but it remains to be seen whether either of those clubs can agree a deal with Arsenal
