Arsenal are busy getting players out of the door on deadline day.

Andrea Berta has won Arsenal fans over by completing seven new signings, while Piero Hincapie is in London and on the verge of becoming a Gunner as well.

There’s less than 10 hours left in the summer transfer window, and Berta is working very hard on outgoings now.

One Arsenal player’s future has now been decided – temporarily at least.

Fabio Vieira is ‘on a flight’ to complete another loan move from Arsenal

It has been clear for a while now that Fabio Vieira has no future at Arsenal.

The Portuguese midfielder has been on the Gunners’ books for three years now, the last of which was spent on loan in his home country.

Vieira has been training with the Arsenal team since returning from that spell, but he has been left out of the squad in each of their first three Premier League games.

West Ham have been linked with Vieira, but the Irons are about to miss out.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany has revealed that the Arsenal player has boarded a flight to sign for Hamburg on loan.

The deal is set to include an option-to-buy clause as well.

Plettenberg tweeted: “Fabio Vieira is on the verge of a move to Hamburger SV! Agreement in place with Arsenal.

“Vieira is on a flight on his way to the medical. Loan with an option to buy.”

Fabio Vieira will join another Arsenal player at Hamburg

Vieira is not the only Arsenal player heading to the Volksparkstadion.

Reports revealed overnight that Albert Sambi Lokonga is also joining Hamburg and has already completed his medical.

The Belgian’s deal will be a permanent one, thus bringing an end to his four years on Arsenal’s books.

It will be interesting to see how Vieira will fare in the Bundesliga. If he plays at his best level, we think the German side will take up the option to sign him permanently next year.
