Chris Sutton has claimed he reckons Tottenham frontman Harry Kane will be annoyed going into England’s game against Scotland on Friday night.

England host rivals Scotland at Wembley tonight in a Euro 2020 group stage match.

Gareth Southgate’s will be looking to build on an impressive win over Croatia in their opening game of the competition. In contrast, Scotland need to bounce back from their Czech Republic defeat.

Kane has come in for a small amount of criticism on social media after his display against Croatia.

The 27-year-old striker had a quiet game compared to usual.

Pundit Sutton reckons the England captain will be make a big response tonight and fully announce himself to the competition.

“He’s probably annoyed that he endured a low-key opening to Euro 2020. Kane will want to get himself that goal now,” Sutton told the Daily Mail.

Tottenham forward Kane is a mentality monster that loves to score

It says everything about Kane’s ability if people are questioning him after the Croatia win.

He didn’t find much luck dropping deeper to help out, as others around him such as Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Kalvin Phillips were really standing out.

Kane remains England’s world-class player though, so write him off at your peril.

He scored 33 goals in 49 appearances for Spurs in the most recent club season.

Above all, he’s shown he can turn it on at major international tournaments.
