Chris Sutton is never one to hold back with a bit of sarcasm and he’s been straight onto Arsenal forward Kai Havertz after seeing him v Brentford today.
Arsenal had to huff and puff against the Bees as their run of scoring goals for fun dried up, despite Declan Rice firing them into an early lead.
For the Gunners, there was very much a feeling of last season around the ground a panic seemed to set in and a resilient Brentford dug deep to try and get a result.

Arsenal did miss chances but there was also some moments of desperation as they looked for a way through. None more so than when Kai Havertz threw himself to the ground midway through the second half in a desperate attempt to win a penalty.
And taking to his social media account on X, former Chelsea and Blackburn ace Chris Sutton mocked the German, suggesting he was doing nothing more than diving to try and win a penalty.
Havertz had missed a golden chance in the first half to get Arsenal 2-0 ahead and it proved costly as Aaron Ramsdale made a huge error to allow Brentford back in the game.
Havertz needs to tread carefully for Arsenal
As good as he has been in recent weeks, Kai Havertz remains a player who Arsenal would be well within their rights to replace this summer.
In the end today, he came up trumps with what could be the biggest goal of the season for Arsenal.
But on the whole, he is still missing too many chances and he was lucky to still be on the field to actually get that winning goal today.
Sure, Arsenal fans will point to the fact he stepped up when it mattered. But over the season, he’s still missed chances in big games and it remains an area Arsenal can improve in the summer.
