Chelsea’s academy has often been praised for producing high-quality players, and right now, the club has a 15-year-old prodigy on their hands.
The club have often sought to recruit players from the youth system, with Mason Mount, Trevoh Chalobah, and Tammy Abraham being successful examples of players who have had good careers.
Current Chelsea captain Reece James also came through the youth system, while several players are also knocking on the door of Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Tyrique George has been handed opportunities this season, while Josh Acheampong has also been getting some first-team minutes.
However, Chelsea have another crop of young players who are looking to be the next generation of Cobham stars, and Cole Palmer recently took the time to watch them play.

Cole Palmer was impressed with Chelsea’s Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli
Palmer is currently out of action with a groin problem, allowing him to watch Chelsea Under-19s in the Champions League on Tuesday.
They competed against Benfica’s Under-19s team before the first team played and came out on top with a dominant 5-2 win on the day.
Goals from Kobe Barbour and Ryan Kavuma-McQueen helped secure the win, but it was hat-trick hero Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli who everyone was talking about after the game.
The 15-year-old is playing several years above his age and showing no signs of that being a problem, and Palmer was impressed by what he saw, calling the teenager a “ballaaaaa.”
Nicoll-Jazuli has also been playing a year up for England’s Under-17s as well, with the teenager showcasing a lot of promise at this early stage of his career.
Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli is actually an Arsenal supporter
Chelsea fans are starting to get excited about Nicoll-Jazuli and the talent that he has, with the youngster being someone that supporters are keeping an eye on.
However, they might be disappointed to learn that the teenager is not a fan of the Blues, and is actually an Arsenal fan, which he has made public knowledge.
Obviously, Arsenal being a rival club will capture the attention of some Chelsea fans simply because of their disdain for the Gunners.
However, it’s not uncommon for players to support other teams because of their childhood, with Palmer growing up a Manchester United fan before playing for Manchester City and Chelsea.
